A few years back, I was sharing information in one of my writers’ group. One of my friends lit up as she said, “You are always sharing useful information. You are like the resource queen.” That gave me a chuckled because I have always loved dispensing out anything that might help. For the site, I thought I would continue that tradition and own the Resource Queen title.
I believe my sharing stems from my years as a family psychotherapist. I had file folders filled with all kinds of handouts about communication, dealing with feelings, parenting help, and decreasing stress. Maybe I just love resources as I find them useful for myself. I get excited when they work for me. I always hope others can benefit, too and a great way to keep my excitement going is letting others know.
The list may gather as I blog and explore other books, links, videos, and articles. The list below are things I have found useful in my journey. I do not receive any advertising dollars for these recommendations nor is the information provided intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or issue. It is strictly intended for educational purposes only. Additionally, this information is not intended to replace the advice of a medical or mental health professional. We all need a little help now and again. Please do not hesitate reach out and seek professional guidance when things become too much. There is a world of help out there and I am alive and still creating because of it.

If you are literally not sure how to go on, please reach out to the new Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary. For more information

Check out my favorite writing coach, April Davila. She combines mindfulness meditation with her coaching services. I found meditating before creating is motivating and inspirational. Since writing can be a lonely process, April and a group of writers provide zoom writing sessions for a donation. It helps get your butt in the seat, meet other interesting writers, and start the hour with 10 minutes of meditation. There are lots of times available to meet most anyone’s time schedule. Hope to see you there at: averyimportantmeeting.com
